Privacy Policy

Last updated October 10, 2026

FeastPick helps you decide where to eat. You don't need an account, and we collect as little about you as we can.

What we collect

  • Your filter choices. When you tap “Pick for me”, your browser sends the filters you chose (such as cuisine and neighborhood) so we can find a match. We don't link these to you.
  • Group mode. If you start or join a group, we store the name you type, your votes, and a random code in a cookie that tells us which group member you are. Groups expire after 24 hours and are then deleted automatically.
  • IP address. We use your IP address to stop abuse (for example, limiting how many requests one connection can make). We store only a scrambled (hashed) version of it, and delete that within a few hours. Our hosting provider may also keep standard server logs.
  • Data saved on your own device. Your vetoes for the current visit, the name you last used in group mode, and (where shown) your cookie choice are stored in your browser, not on our servers. See our Cookie Policy for the full list.

We don't ask for your email, phone number, location, or payment details.

Advertising

FeastPick is free because it shows ads. Our ads are provided by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can learn how Google uses this information at policies.google.com and turn off personalized ads in Google's ad settings. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we ask Google to show you only non-personalized ads.

Links to other services

Buttons such as Directions, Reserve a table, and Order delivery take you to other services (like Google Maps, OpenTable, DoorDash, and Uber Eats). Some of these may be affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission if you book or order. Those services have their own privacy policies, and they may know you arrived from FeastPick.

Restaurant information

Restaurant listings come from OpenStreetMap, a public map built by volunteers. They describe businesses, not people.

Selling and sharing

We don't sell your personal information. When personalized ads are on, Google's use of advertising cookies may count as “sharing” under some US state laws. You can opt out with the Global Privacy Control setting in your browser or through Google's ad settings above.

Children

FeastPick is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Your choices and rights

You can clear FeastPick's data from your device at any time through your browser settings. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what we hold about you or to have it deleted. Because we keep so little, and only briefly, there is usually nothing tied to you to return. Contact us and we'll help.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
